وَيَقطَعوني، وَأُحسِنُ إِليهِم ويُسِيئُونَ إليَّ، وأَحلُمُ عَنهم ويجهلُونَ عَلَيَّ، فَقَالَ: "لَئِن كُنتَ كَمَا قُلتَ فَكَأَنَّمَا تُسِفَّهم الملَّ وَلاَ يزَالُ معكَ مِنَ اللَّه تَعَالَى ظَهيرٌ عَلَيهم مَا دُمْتَ عَلى ذَلِكَ" رواه مسلم. وقد سَبَقَ شَرْحُه في"باب صلة الأرحام".
