Terms of use

The rules for using ArabicGenius, in plain words.

Last updated 21 October 2026

Your account

  • Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • Children under 13 need a parent’s or teacher’s permission to use ArabicGenius.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

Using ArabicGenius fairly

  • Don’t try to break, overload or scrape the site, or get into other people’s accounts.
  • Only upload texts you have the right to use. Uploads are for your own study and stay private to you.
  • Don’t use the AI features to produce anything unlawful or abusive.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

The texts and the AI

The library’s books are in the public domain; the dictionaries are historic works (Lane’s Lexicon and Lisan al-Arab) and open data. Vowels, translations and answers from the AI are a study aid: they are usually right but can be wrong, so check anything important.

Pro

  • Pro is billed monthly or yearly in US dollars until you cancel. Prices are on the pricing page.
  • Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial; cancel before it ends and you won’t be charged. Each person gets one trial.
  • Cancel any time from Plan & billing. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and aren’t charged again; your saved words and progress stay on the Free plan.
  • Switching between monthly and yearly billing takes effect straight away: the difference for the rest of the current period is charged, or credited towards your next payments.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Extra OCR pages are a one-off purchase and last 12 months.
  • We’ll tell you by email before prices change.

The service

We work to keep ArabicGenius available and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted or free of mistakes. ArabicGenius is provided as it is, and to the extent the law allows we aren’t liable for indirect losses from using it. We may change or end features; if we close ArabicGenius, we’ll give you notice and a way to download your data.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email first. Questions? Use the contact form.
