يقول:"إنَّ اللَّه لاَ يقْبِض العِلْم انْتِزَاعاً ينْتزِعُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ، ولكِنْ يقْبِضُ العِلْمَ بِقَبْضِ العُلَماءِ حتَّى إِذَا لمْ يُبْقِ عَالِماً، اتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ رُؤوساً جُهَّالاً فَسئِلُوا، فأفْتَوْا بغَيْرِ علمٍ، فَضَلُّوا وأَضَلُّوا" متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
